Does all mods work in 4.09b1? - FunkyMan - 11.07.2008
I have downloaded some mods and they work fine in 4.08.
but when I use the switcher (found the switcher on the UBI forum few months ago)
to go to 4.09b1, the game loads to 95% and stops. I really want to play with the cloudmod
on the Slovakiamap! I have done this:
I copied my entire IL-2 1946 Sturmovik folder to a different folder (E:\IL-2 1946 modda)
Then I downloaded eng sound mod, wrapper, cloud mod and installed it to the same folder.
When I try 4.09b1, it will not load...why?
I will try to copy the entire 1946 folder again when I am back from work, but this time, I will
switch to 4.09b1 BEFORE I copy the folder. Will this work? Any solution to this? Or do we need to wait untill it gets released officially?

AAA does not recommend using JSGME with official mods ....

Do you have THAT
(The link is inoperative) switcher installed or other?

I use one which came when 4.09b1 was released. So people could try 4.09beta and play online 4.08 without any fuzz. This swticher came long before modding begun I think.
I tried to patch the game to 4.09b1 BEFORE copy and paste it to another directory (so I have one installed vanilla 1946 and another modded for offline play.)
Homever, when I start the game, I get 4.08. By clicking on your link, I see there is a modded patch for 4.09b1. I will download that one and try! Thanx!
