Modern HUD Reticle Help - semedar - 12.07.2008

Well I don't know where else to put this but I'm in need of help here on how to make the reticle bigger? It's current resolution of the reticle is 512x512 and in-game looks way too small, so I need help to know how to make it look bigger in-game.

Screenies:

PS: I put those pictures in as links because they are huge in resolution.

Anyone know? Please tell. Big Grin

Bump..

Anyone know how to make a reticle relatively larger? If it is even possible?

- zulu64 - 13.07.2008

Gunsight Reticles in IL2 are a specfic size and are Historically correct.

- semedar - 13.07.2008

So I take it that you can't change the size of the reticle? Or there is a way but you don't agree with me making a historically incorrect reticle?

- zulu64 - 13.07.2008

It can be done someone here as already done it. There is a post here somewehere showing the increased sized reticle.

Yeah thanks for pointing me out to that! Smile But I tried putting this to my reticle, but it is the same size.

- fly_zo - 13.07.2008

.... do try to edit actual reticle.tga ( watch for alpha if exist...)

I've resized RAF ones that way .... works w/o problem

I don't suppose I can request you to resize my reticle to make it fit on the whole K14 height-wise? Or can you run me through on how to do that whole Alpha channel thing? I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS3, btw.

Edit: Did you manage to resize them bigger, or smaller? Because I can easily resize it smaller, just not bigger..
