Howdy;
Please check out Foragers beginners guide #'s 1, 2 & 3 for bringing a computer challenged person (et al) up to a working **Basic** 4.09b1m.
This guide works well on the first try and fills in those gray areas that other Beginners guides have.
They should be made into a stickey before they are lost..
I have already printed copies out for myself, and they reside in my binder for posterity...Just thinking about others yet to come...

yup, i've noticed it ... but IMHO Forager should get together with vpmedia and compile both tutorials to one or whatever .... We can't have two stickies with different instructions for same thing

Yeah, That was in the back of my mind also... I hope they do it..
The meeting of the minds is always good for all concerned..
Ha Ha..it will give them both something more to do...As if they aren't busy enough now...

PapaG39, thank you for trying and I am glad they were helpful.
fly_zo, I PMd vpmedia that I had put these up, there were only two at the time and he said he would check them out.
I also PMd MrJolly and asked if he had time would he take a look at them and have not heard back from him, nor have I expected to, I realize he is very busy.
I did not write them to replace anything.
I wrote them as I made a clean install because, as is well indicated by the number of posts in many topic headings on these forums, many people are having issues with installing the mods or dealing with problems that appear after they have installed a mod.
My purpose was to try to eliminate problems at the very beginning of the install process and so far, for me at least, it has worked.
Not all here are computer savvy, including me, and while there are solutions to any problem that appears, they are scattered all over this vast site and finding them is a royal pain, if these have helped one person avoid problems it has been worth it and if they sink into oblivion, no problem here.

@Forager:
IMHO , such installation instructions update (revision) are rather necessary from time to time cos structure of mods tend to change with new discoveries . So i'm grateful someone took the time and did it
Hope vpmedia and you will soon come up with tutorial that we can put as sticky ( and as pdf file if i may suggest )
Looking forward to it ....
Anyway , many thanks for your time and effort
