We have the Russian G11 and with a bit of skinning can make it look like a DFS 230 Assault Glider.

The problem with gliders under AI is that once they detach from the tow you can no longer affect their course. Can anything be done, perhaps with a G11 modded as a DFS 230 in a new aircraft slot, to make it possible to guide the AI gliders onto a target?
I do have something specific in mind.

but problem is in AI ...
is possible change detach function in mod ... detach function for mistel is working ...
but problem is how AI swith off Big Grin

Yes. The AI is the biggest problem.

For my Eban-Emael mission I have tried starting with 7 gliders ( 1 player controlled + 6 AI controlled)
1 group of 3 and two groups of 2

They start at 2500m 20km from target, but the AI controlled gliders just go in a straight line and do not respond to waypoints which are set.

Even the two wing men to my player controlled plane do not follow the leader.

But what if a glider, in a new slot, was "given" the AI from a normal aircraft. Could it still be linked to a tow aircraft? Would it then respond to waypoints in the normal manner?

If you use glider as player and switch off autopilot is a normal aircraft.
if use AI glider its not normal aircraft ... glider find only close way to landing ..thats all
we can maybe make mod only for manual detach if is player in glider and autopilot is off ...
but reworking AI will be maybe too much complicated ... this is forgotten work of oleg Big Grin
