Changing Default skins, adding new Nationalities? - Jadehawk - 30.07.2008

Hey all,
With my Atlantis project going well, I started to add some static planes (I-153) and well, I wanted them to match the skins I created. But I also want to have some Russian static I-153 planes too .

I tried looking the site, but could not find any Mods for changing or adding to the default skins or adding new Nationalities. Anyone point this clueless fellow in the right direction or tell me what you know about changing defaults?

Much appreciated! Big Grin

Not sure but this might be one.:

There is an add nations mod somewhere, not sure if it is on AAA though.

The additional nations mod was withdrawn due to serious online bugs.

I don't know if any work is being done to resolve the problems (if they are even resolvable!).

With the skinmod, you can use whatever skin, with whatever nationality markings. Just choose "none" instead of "blue" or "red" for statics. You can only have one default skin per model at one time, if I understand you correctly:

" I wanted them to match the skins I created. But I also want to have some Russian static I-153 planes too"

If the I-153M & I-153P are separate models then you can use a different skin for each. If they use the same model, then you are stuck with one skin for both.

If you go to the skin mod folder and the aircraft in question has both a (USA) and (Multi1) folder you can put a separate skin in each of them and one skin will show when you select USAAF, USMC or USN for the air force and a different skin will show when selecting any air force other than a US air force. For the F4F-4 I have an RAF Desert skin that shows up when selecting non-US air forces and a USN/USMC skin that shows up when selecting USAAF, USMC or USN as the air force.

I am, however, having an issue when choosing RNZAF for the air force when using the F4U-1A but I started a separate post for this issue.
