Norden Bombsight doesn't appear - Don - 31.07.2008

This is the first time I've used the Norden Bombsight. I've downloaded and installed the B-17G gunners and bombsight, but what keys do you use to make it appear in the plane? I realize this is probably a stupid question, but as a retired teacher I know if you don't ask, you don't find out.

If you make sure you are in either the Pilot or nose gun position (not sure which - I am not a bomber guy myself...), you should be able to access the bombsite with SHIFT+F1 (and same again to get out of the bombsight view).

the default Norden sight (yellow). Be in cockpit. Press to switch to the next cockpit/gunner position, this is the bombardiers position, the one just after the cockpit and one before the nose gunner. Here you have all the important gauges you need on the left. Now press shift F1 and there you go. You have to be level for at least 30 secs for the gyros to stabilise and then the sight appears. Alternatively, i created a Norden Bombsight cross which never disappears, more authentic than the yellow.
