FMB 'Description' loss - Plantoid 1 - 01.08.2008

Hi Folks:

I asked this question in the "Help" section and couldn't seem to get help so I'm trying here.

I've added the Primary Mod Enabler, or whatever it's called, then installed the 4.09b1m version from this site. What I didn't do was run IL2 before I installed 4.09b1m. However, after installation, I went into full mission builder and called up one of my over 200 missions. Tinkering around I did some changes and decided to tell myself in the 'Description' box what to look for. All 3 'Description' boxes were empty: "Mission Name'; 'Short'; and 'Description'.

I inserted some text in all 3 boxes and resaved the mission under a slightly different name. I ran the mission through 'Multiplayer' like I always do and everything ran fine. I called up another mission in Multiplay from my files and the original text from showed up in the briefing as it should. Going back into FMB I called up the second mission I'd run and the 'Desription' boxes were empty

I've checked things out since then and discovered that a mission now saved will have the '.properties' portion with a new addition. Example: [my mission name]_ru.properties.

As a temporary fix I've added the '_ru' to some missions just to be able to tinker with mods I've put in and want to try. I really don't want to go and add this suffix to all 200+ missions.

I could use some help!

maybe some app for multiple renaming files (like ReNamer 4.50) would make job easier .... just a thought

It works a treat but there's another issue now: I'm trying to install these mods into my buddy's computer and I'm not sure he'll be able to get the hang of downloading this app and using it. I guess what I'm looking for now is is there some way to get back the 'Description' into a file without the _ru suffix and have it show in the FMB?

...well ,as long as you're using modded version of the game , il2fb.exe is russian so you're stuck with _ru suffix .
