Probably a Simple Solution...I Hope - Kopfdorfer - 13.08.2008

Greetings, and if anyone can help me here, I'd appreciate it greatly.

I have down loaded and installed a pile of mods, and although the learning curve of correct installation was very steep for me - old, not so good on computers - I have started to get things running fairly well.

I just encountered a problem I was not aware that I had.
I like designing missions, and I do it a lot, however with my recent mod frenzy, most of my tinkering time has been spent just getting things just to run smoothly. Now I am at the point where I have a bunch of mods, new aircraft and new maps installed and accessible. I decided to build a mission, and when I got into mission builder I was curious to check out the additional map objects and new object skins that I have installed. Lo and behold, many of my objects are missing from the object list. The Object numbers are still there, but there is no image of the object, and when I place the (invisible) object on the map, the mission builder places the object icon on the map, but when I go to 3d view to see it, it is not there.

AM I correct in thinking that in trying to add to my Static.ini file I have perhaps deleted instead of added?

What can I do to correct this. Please don't say reinstall, I have gone through that no less than 7 times getting this snowball rolling!

Hi!

As i know when objects name are there and as you say there is no image of the object it has with static.ini to do.

You have to chek only that mods which adds new objects and requests for changes in static.ini

Make a backup from your own static.ini and replace it with original one, and see if it helped to make some missing objects visible again.
