objects list - what controlls it? - vampire_pilot - 16.08.2008

Hi

I have a question about the list of static objects within the FMB.
what controlls this list and what appears in it?

First I thought it was the static.ini alone but this can't be the case since I copied a fresh exrtracted version in there and still see lots of stuff that came obviously with some mapmods.

the problem is, that I can't find stuff anymore because when I look an object I want to use up on my overview sheet, the numbers are all wrong because of the "new" objects.

so are there any other files that get stored when maps get installed and can be deactivated so I see my stock list again while making a template?
how do you guys work around this?

It is just the static.ini file that controls the list in FMB.

You must have another copy of the static.ini somewhere that's getting read before one you've edited.

that is what I thought too but the only static.ini I have anywhere near my 46 folder is in
MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects

where it should be. it is a new copy, extracted from the original sfs.
still over 1200 objects in there with lot's of new objects?!

is there maybe a java file somewhere that can mess this up???
When I exchange the ini with the one that includes your objects for the channel beta I see the difference so there is some reaction to it.

i got it working.
removed the complete STD folder and reinstalled file by file.
still not sure what caused it but it is good now.
