Il2 Sturmovik Original Game updates? V 1.0 to 4.08?? - V Octane V - 16.08.2008
hey guys i have the original Il2 sturmovik and it only has 32 planes, along with that i have pacific fighters with no expansions and im wondering if theres any place where i can get ALL the previous game updates like from version 1.0 which is the ones i have to version 4.08 because i want new planes but i don't think any of those will work because i only have the 1st version so please help. Also i might get Il2 1946 but can someone explain what IL2 1946 comes with? it saids that it comes with pacific fighters and Il2 and all the previous expansions including forgotten battles. Is that correct because i really want to get the most up to date game, but also have them merged. The original Il2 lacks a lot . need update! :x

The original Il2 cannot be updated to 4.08, because a new engine was introduced for Forgotten Battles. IL2:1946 consists of: Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters and all patches and addons up to 4.07m, all rolled into one DVD. 4.08m is the last official patch that has been released, with 4.09b1m, a beta, also available though the official 4.09m has not been released yet . Just buy Il2:1946 and you're practically ready to go.
Pacific Fighters as standalone can only be patched up to 4.04, but this omits a significant number of planes that also saw action in the PTO. You'd miss a LOT by restricting yourself to this.

lol thanx, me and octane are related. I'll go and buy it and check it out from there.
