Open GL : impossible to run - Rakk - 18.08.2008

Hello,

My IL2 1946 can't start in Open GL !

I 've install "IL2 Manager 5" to try to solve the problem but same crash...
I examined the web and it seems that an new ".exe" could solve the problem but impossible to find it !

My GC : Ge 8800 GTS
CPU : Dual Core 6600 Intel 2.4 Ghz
2 GO ram

+ The monitor switch in 60 Hz !! and my desk always be in 85 Hz !!

I think it doesn't came from AAA but in all these settings, i lost my french !!
Please Help

Vista uses directx not open GL. you haven't told us what OS you're running but i'm guessing that's the case.

That isn't true.

I'm playing IL-2 1946 in OpenGL mode on Vista 64bits. Where did you get that wrong information?

i'll clearify. try using directx and you may see better performance, if using vista

Well, I don't know if on Windows Vista the DX mode is faster in fps, but what I know is that with DX instead OpenGL you lose Perfect mode.

No point there... I will ever choose OpenGL because lets me to play with Perfect settings.

And the mate who opened this topic, with a C2D and a 8800GTS VGA should choose OpenGL to play in Perfect mode with his hardware. No dude.

Choose IL2 in the big list of games

clic : "ADD"

Go to the starter/configure menu of Ubisoft/il2

chose OpenGL and launch !!
