Site Proposal: WIP Meter for New Aircraft - zoo_heathen - 21.08.2008

Hi all,

Besides being a terrible sim pilot, I work for a site that makes paper models. At any given moment, our half-dozen designers are working on various projects, each at his own pace. In order to prevent endless posts of "when's project "X" coming out", we've created a page that tracks the progress of each, as a percentage, for example, 20% is in the concept stage and 80% being nearly ready for release.

Here at AAA, I see a whole whack of projects on the go. Every once in a while someone will bump an old thread to ask about status, why don't we create a single, locked page where they are all listed, with whatever is known about the current status:

Here are some examples, I am just guessing at the numbers and stats so bear with me:

---------------------
P2 Neptune: 75%

Side: Red
Status: Active
New 3d Parts: Yes
New Cockpit: Yes
New Loadouts: Yes

---------------------
Westland Whirlwind: 75%

Side: Red
Status: Inactive
New 3D Parts: Yes
New Cockpit: Yes
New Loadouts: No
Notes: New engine being built
Skins: In Progress

----------------------
Vickers Wellington 50%

Staus: Inactive
New 3D parts: No

...and so on and so forth. Heck, you could do the same with maps.

I'm sure more ways can be found to describe the projects, the ones above are all I can think of right now.

Thanks for reading and Happy Flying!

Yep, I agree. I love looking at the neptune thread to see how much closer we are to airborne sex

- Trooper117 - 22.08.2008

Airborne sex?.. you must be talking about a sleek and powerful Spitfire.. not some ungainly looking twin engine bus!!

- zoo_heathen - 22.08.2008

Thanks, folks. I hope something good comes of this.

Bah, spit is overrated (flame war starts in 3... 2... 1... ). I am indeed talking about the ungainly looking twin engined bus. Such as a Neptune, or a Bf110

Progress meters are in all my new slot threads.

- RAF_Magpie - 22.08.2008

I will try to incorporate such a meter on the WIP's I'm workin on presently.

And FYI - the Whirlwind is NOT inactive!

Sorry Mags, I was just guessing!

The Whirly will be fun, I talked to a pilot once who said it was a blast.
