[Download] QMB pack for Canon's Channel map - reflected - 24.08.2008
I made some QMB missions for Canon's Channel map. There are over 300 ground objects, so the scenery is pretty crowded. The mission names are not what they really are, I tried to set up the missions so that they are historically correct for BoB, or 1942-43 offensive missions.

Red none - dogfight over the cliffs of Dover
Red Scramble - scramble from Hawkinge AF. Quick as you can, the airfield is being attacked!
Red Bridge - Take off from Hawkinge AF, intercept Huns over the Channel
Red Armor - Escor/sweep over Rouen - flight 2 and 3 are attacking ground targets
Red Airbase - Attack Amiens Airfield - 2 hun flights taking off, 2 in air
Red Strike - Fighter sweep over Dieppe
Blue none = Red none
Blue Scramble = Red airbase
Blue airbase = Red Scramble

Having a a bit of trouble with this install = getting the old data file corrupt message
Checked the Conf file "CustomX=English_Channel_1940" also Tried "CAN_Channel"
X being next number in this case 19
added the line to all.ini " English_Channel_1940 CAN_Channel/CAN_40_load.ini"
Quick files all copied to my mission\quick directory
What am I missing?
- reflected - 24.08.2008
it's FILES(!)/missions/quick, and it's CustomX=Channel
I hope it'll work now.
- funkster - 24.08.2008
Well I sorted it by renaming the missions to CAN_ChannelRED00.......blah blah
Now im getting an error AIR:Spitfire 1
BTW why FILES ? all my other maps are in the mission\quick folder under root
- reflected - 24.08.2008
Do not rename them. You should copy them where the other MapRedNone00.mis files are.
Also, you have to have QMB plus installed.

Hmmmm I've got QMB installed.
I have no Mission\quick folder under Files
It is under the Root directory
All my other files are there and all work fine ????????
- reflected - 24.08.2008
hmmm...do you have SpitMK1?

QMB Installed as described here
viewtopic.php?t=6632
NOTE 7A onward:
From here the instructions are mine, we need to do one more thing.
7A: Return to QMBPlus 1.1 in your MODS folder.
(Added on July 23, 2008
If your download of the QMBPlus does not contain a files folder, skip to 7C.
The Wrapper will handle the 11 files.)
7B: Open the files folder. Inside are 11 files with long strings of letters and numbers and a Missions folder.
Copy the 11 files into your Files folder in the main game directory.
7C: Go back and open the Missions folder. Inside is a "Quick" folder that activates missions for the new maps.
Copy or Drag this Quick folder into your Missions folder in the main game directory.
Now your main Missions folder should contain these 4 folders, Campaign, Net, Quick and Single
With this in place, when you set up missions in the QMBPlus they will work on whatever Map you have selected.
OK, now we will get those maps into the QMBPlus.

nope ! That could be why I guess !!
- reflected - 24.08.2008
try to install it! does iit solve the problem? (there are 2 patrolling spitmk1s, which I couldn't remove from the mission - some kind of bug - so I placed them far away to the north.
- funkster - 24.08.2008
Sure did
Cheer R, appreciated - good work too m8
BTW it might be worth noting that if people do follow the different QMB installation as above they may need to rename the missions as per the details above.
Just a thought !
Now to get those new textures on the channel map

Great missions - I've had a lot of fun scrambling from Hawkinge in a Spit MkI. Howver, if I change the aircraft type to a Hurricane (tried MkI and MkIIb), once the mission has loaded I get a flash of the cockpit before it disapears and the screen locks. I've tried the Hurricane independently on the Channel map in the QMB and it works fine.
Is there something in your scamble mission that could be conflicting with the stock Hurri (i.e. no mods installed that I am aware to effect it)?
