Is it possible to create a better Chase View for IL2 to replace the current, I find I have to keep pressing the chase view key over and over to keep the view behind the plane.
I like that there is a certain amount of freedom on the view, but what would be great would be to have a proper chase view so when you turn or climb the aircraft there is a bit of a delay before the view follows the plane.

those are settings you can adjust in your config.ini

It's been a LOOOONG time but play around with these lines

[HookViewFly Config]
timeFirstStep=2.0
deltaZ=10.0

[HookView]
MouseLeft=Len

[HookView Config]
AzimutSpeed=0.1
TangageSpeed=0.1
LenSpeed=1.0
MinLen=1.0
DefaultLen=20.0
MaxLen=3000.0
Speed=6

I think it's in the [HookViewFly Config]

OOOps sorry should have read closer these are external and fly-by

chase view hmmmm gotta think on that
