that looks awesome, maybe since the mk.XIV is being made and it looks alot like the XIX couldnt the contra rotating prop be employed onto the XIV the make it a XIX?

:OO  :OO

Sorry, but there was no wartime version of the MKXIX to have contra-props. In fact, the only Spitfire that was trialled with contra-props was I believe a version of the MK21/22 but I'd have to check that. I am certain though that there were no production models fitted with it.
Seafires used them though.
The modern XIX restoration that you see flying uses the engine installation from a Shackleton instead of the original installation.

well considering the neptune is being built... I think the XIX can have the contra as well, no?

I don't see the correlation?
- BH_Blue - 16.09.2008
The correlation is that the neptune isnt even in world war 2, and that means we can have the non wartime version of the mk.XIX spitfire with the contra rotating propeller.

Oh, I've got you now. I should have probably been clearer. There were no Spitfires with contra-props, wartime or otherwise. The one that exists is a modification, it wasn't built that way.
It's like that Mustang flying around with a lear jet wing, there wouldn't be a lot of point putting that in either?
The FR47 though had contra props, and would be very good to see in the game
- RAF_Magpie - 17.09.2008
There was a FR.47 under construction by Hawk with some input by Hellzone I believe, that has since been cancelled.
Post war up to korean stuff, is often being constructed here. Its up to the modders what are made, not the opinion of users
