Splash Screen Changing - AIRdomination - 17.09.2008

I have a slight problem with the splash screen mod by uf_josse

I have inserted the required text into the fileslist.txt. So that is not the problem. But when I try to edit to make me a new splash screen, (instead of the sample one) nothing happens!! I don't understand, I am saving in the same format and all.... what could be the problem?

I am using 4.09bm and Gimp as my editing software.

Although I HAVE noticed one thing:

The original image is 2,305KB in size. But when I save my new image in the SAME format and SAME resolution, the file size changes to 1,912KB.

???????????

Why does that happen? I'm not changing anything. What am I missing?

I had the same problem with editing textures, but I worked it out in the end:

Make sure that you save all TGA files WITHOUT compression (GIMP enables compression by default and doesn't advertise it during the save process...).
