Is there a seprate throttle mod? - Bearcat - 19.09.2008

Is there a mod that will separate the throttle axii yet?

- Neil Lowe - 19.09.2008

I dont think there is, although I have read somewhere that someone created a payware mod for IL2 that was supposed to do that exact thing.

Cheers, Neil Smile

I use that software with my Saitek Aviator to fly twin-engined planes....but the author is ill and I'm still waiting him to enable it for two AV8R's for a four-engined plane

It is done for the throttle quadrant I believe ...not sure if Saitek or the other one

No mod for this yet. Yeah Throttle for IL-2 was done by a Gent for the CH Throttle Quad, and later for the Av8r but not for Saitek Throttle Quad. I had looked into doing it myself, but I was starting literally at square one re: Java skills. I consulted with a modder as to what it would take and concluded that I really didn't have the time required to make an earnest go of it.

I can certainly tell you what I know so far:
- It would include adding Hotkeys to sim,
- It would require adding Java classes which I have no concept of.

When it comes to making Photoshop mockups of anything from proposed applications, to Presidential candidates, I consider myself very competent. Programming seems to continue to be a totally undecipherable language, despite a number of earnest efforts.

Unfortunately someone with more skills, or at least more time would need to tackle this.
