Why no autoinstaller for all Mods - ceege1 - 20.09.2008
I'm sure I'm not alone in asking why does'nt every Mod available have an auto installer exe?
Some of us, myself included really struggle to get some of these obviously great mods to work properly and sometimes at all. Surely the time spent developing a Mod in the first place would warrant a program to install it easily and painlessly into the sim ,without the need of all the complexity of having to manually modify files yourself.
Is there a valid reason why this is the case or is there a more complex answer?

It is because auto-installers don't grow on trees.

It's also because some mods don't suit an auto-installer. Modifying files like all.ini, static.ini etc can't be done by a generic autoinstaller, because every person will have a different one.

And its also because not all mods available on this site are finished, or rather are in Beta stage, so they don't get given an official AAA installer to go with them.

Also, because some of them is very easy to install. Just extract them, and put them to MODS folder.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll just have to learn faster to keep up with all these mods.
Thanks again.
