Cookie bomb blast - Brophmeister - 23.09.2008
I saw this excellent diagram in another thread, and it got me thinking. Is the huge mushroom cloud from the cookie bomb really appropriate?
My point is, you can see that the cookie has significantly less explosive power than the FAB5000, yet shares the same effect.
Another question, kind of related. The scale along the bottom where it reads "blast velocity m/sec" starts at 280, and goes DOWN to 28. Isn't this kind of against the conventions of graphing, or is it just a typo?

Its because you've miss-read the graph.
The graph is that of the Little Boy atomic weapon blast, with the game's corresponding heavy blasts added for comparison.
The "BLAST VELOCITY" is correctly stated in the graph if you look at it the way it was intended, it shows the BLAST VELOCITY FOR THE LITTLE BOY ATOMIC WEAPON!
It dissipates as the blast radiates outwards...

Als, one more small point , mushroom clouds are not restricted to atomic bombs only, if you watch the many vids on ww2, you will see that mushrooms are created by many types of ordnance. i suppose its is the conditions of weather mixed with the target that is hit and the way the bomb explodes that factors in how the cloud is formed.

I would keep the shockwave effect, it is a blast bomb, but substitute the mushroom cloud with a more voluminous general purpose bomb blast cloud.

Yes, I understand that many explosives generate a mushroom effect (I see this regularly with 40mm GLA's) but my point is that theone on the cookie is the ginormous effect from the imitation nuke. I just think that an explosive with roughly half the mass of the FAB5000 should have an appropriately scaled explosion.
If I'm expecting too much here then thats fine, theres an assload of projects in the works, but I'm just putting the idea out there.

Wait wait wait
DOES it matter we can fly the plane and the bomb explodes what else?

Excuse me, but the bomb is too powerful, which was proven by me, plus it uses and inappropriate effect, so yes, it does count.
Wouldn't you complain if we would make the Hs293

I would also like to see a different effect for the cookie, something similar to the one in Stukas mod. I asked about this before, but i do not think anyone was able to find the relevant files, not talking about the blast effect just the visual part of it, maybe Stuka could help with that ? Here's hoping someone can do it.

Because the Hiroshima incident has been thoroughly documented and researched.

Seriously, are you nuts or helplessly immature?
