Carrier born QMB files? - reflected - 26.09.2008
Please tell me how to set these up. I can't assign the takeoff/landing point to a moving carrier
I would like to set up a series of QMB+ missions on the pacific with 2 fleets, and no islands at all.
Other approach: from where do I have to extract the original Coral Sea QMB missions in order to change them?
Thanks!

I have had the same question on carrier takeoffs in QMB to the author of QMBPlus at the very beginning of the year, when QMBPlus was introduced. The author replied that it is not possible to takeoff from carriers so far, and that he perhaps will work on the possibility. Perhaps ask the author now. The author name is "FC", here are our private messages ( I hope FC wold not mind publishing it):

QMBPlus is the great, very useful piece of work, it is a pity Oleg did not included it into IL2. Scramble possibility is especially useful .
But I cannot succeed in creating the mission , in QMBPlus, with takeoff from CV , both AI and my planes, meanwhile in Single mission it works well. In QMBPlus, AI planes appear either exploding on the deck of CV, or sink into water , even if the CV is set in FMB as the target. Is this phenomenon a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
I never tried to make take off from carrier in QMB but it cold easily be problem in how QMB generate the mission, take off in QMB was not originally programmed.
If I find time I'll take a look at this when i make new QMBPlus.

If all you need is a .mis file you can record a .trk file (not .ntrk ). I think it is stored in the records folder. Open it with notepad.

what?I don't understand. I'm creating QMB+ missions, and I need to know how do I set them up so that the planes start on the deck of a moving carrier.

I think the only type of quick mission that begins with a takeoff is the "scramble" mission type. Have you tried setting up such a mission using a carrier as the start point?
All other QMB missions (that I know of) are air-start.

Sorry, Now that I think about it, my idea probably won't help with what you want to do.

QMB+ missions are in your files/missions/quick folder.
I 've already set up several ones for different maps. You can create any kind of mission, everything depends on the mission file. You can create long range fighter sweeps with ground start if you want. But when I tried it with a moving carrier, the planes started in the soup.

let's hope it'll be fixedin the new QMB+
QMB plus and the new Uni installer - RAF_Sharkzz - 28.09.2008
hmm , in regards to carriers I would sujest lowest alt air start with the planes at least landing on the carriers, a bit of a compromise at the moment.
Next I would like some help please. I have the new installer and QMB plus now. I can get the new maps etc and the different starts, BUT I cannot find any missions that are with the download.
I look in load but nothing. Since I dont need to have a filetext anymore, as well as the QMBplus1.1 goes into the MODS folder, I still cant find any missions !!!.
any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks
