Question about Mod Installer and smoke effects - CloudConnected - 28.09.2008
I installed the AAA Installer Mod Pack a few days ago and I'm really impressed by the work that has been done to the game.....
There is just one thing I don't like that much ;-) It appears that with the installation, the thick, black, unhealthy looking smoke has been removed from the game, as it appears for example when an engine is badly damaged or after a mid-air explosion. The new engine fire is nice but it has only the thin, flat texture smoke behind it...
Now what I don't know is, was this done in purpose or do I have a broken installation and the smoke textures are simply missing. In the first case, it would be nice if someone could tell me which game files I need to replace to get it back, because I want to keep all the other great mods.

they removed it so everyone with good and bad PCs could play the game nicely. You can install the smoke mod yourself with unified, i found no conflicts
BTW, wrong section

Sorry, this can happen to you if its your first post.
meanwhile I found out that the reduced takeoff smoke is responsible. Deinstalled it, now its way better.
