TBD Devastator and a Bevy of Beaufighters - Goodwood - 28.09.2008

Greetings!

I'm Sean, from 777 Studios, and we'd like to offer the mod community a chance to import the TBD Devastator, in addition to several new marques of Bristol Beaufighter into the game. All of these models, which were built for the original Pacific Fighters but never used, come complete with unique cockpits, full damage models, and animations, as well as armament options and skins. We can provide screenshots of the models on request if you guys would like -- all we need is for someone who is willing to do the work necessary to mod IL-2 so that the planes are added.

Thank you all for the mods thus far; all of which that I have tried have turned out very well.

I remember seeing the screenshots of that TBD on the IL2 website and thinking it'd be a perfect complement for the Lexington/Saratoga that came with Pacific Fighters.

Hey guys,

Sean is right, we have our old TBD model that Halfwit and I built back in the day, but never made it into PF. We're willing to donate it to a group who knows how to import it into PF. Would make Midway a tad bit more realistic.

However, Sean misspoke just a little. There are no flyable cockpits. This is just the A.I. model. Assuming we have all the files still, which I think we do, it is the D0 and LODs. All the damage textures including caps and a couple skins plus the template. I'd have to dig out my files, but I am pretty sure I know where they are.

This is not an official 777 Studios project, just a model Halfwit and I have in our old library. Sean thought it would be a cool thing to release tot he IL-2 modding community. We only want to release it to a knowledgeable group though so it will be treated with some love.

Also, as Sean mentioned, we still have some other Mks of the Beau somewhere and a partially built J1N1 Gekko. Some of you have some good memories.
