Interesting info-Possible mod? - ALOTEF - 03.10.2008

In March, 1942, the ME262 V1 was not fitted with the infamous twin Jumo jets, but was fitted with a Jumo 210g inline prop engine, mounted in the nose.
More info on Jumo 210g:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Jumo_210
"A pair of 1,764lb thrust BMW 003 turbojets were subsequntly slung under the wings, and on 25th March, 1942, the v1 lifted off with all three engines "turning and burning"."
That was quoted from a book of mine, which also has a picture of the early 262. Other notable differences are a less triangular tailplane, with a flat top, and the rear tailwheel as fitted to the v3.
I was wondering if ayone would be able to produce a photo from the net of this engine arrangement, and if found, if anyone would like to be able to fly this in IL2. This topic sort of was inspired by slow's v3, and quite alot of interest was shown there. Would anyone be interested in the v1?

I'd love to see and fly it, apart from the spitfire with an 109 engine the 262 is my favourite aircraft Big Grin

If you have any more information on this, especially references on aircraft you are requestng for. Then please post them at my aircraft request library, I will be more than glad to add them to the list at this link below:

(The link is inoperative)

So that way, in given time, if Slow or other modder decide to do more work on different version of Me 262, they will start looking at these list.
