wakes for static ships request - danger - 03.10.2008

any chance an object could be made to simulate the wakes that could be places behind static ships ?

Why would you need a wake for a static ship? The game system privides one for a moving vessel and the editor very kindly shows you the time at which a vessel will be at a certain waypoint, so you need only ensure that aircraft and ship waypoints are close together and move the ship closer or further away to suit your purposes.

I suppose, he is aiming for DF maps - ships are static there, but wakes would increase immersion. From far away it would look nice, from near, it would look odd, I think. The objects would need to be destroyed together with the ship of course.

lol, i have been a mission builder for some 5 years now using the fmb, what caspar said is right, it is for the immersion on DF maps. my org runs pure DF campaigns and the wakes would be an excellent addition.
