Volume of sounds - AIRdomination - 17.10.2008
I know that to change the volume of the sounds you must go into the .txt file and lower [spl]
But I have noticed that this works only external sounds... from within cockpit it is still very loud... is there a way to reduce that as well?

To ajust sound levels ..... use your computers recording device......
go into the samples folder select each new sample one by one , then right click
and select Record, then select Effects, increase/decrease volume by 25%.
There are two sets of sounds , one for the cockpit, one for the external,
external sounds have an X in front .
I have found this in a sound mod read me and it works fine

.. And did anyone know how to add a "hearphones/helmet" effect to in-cockpit sound? did pilot use them? so sound may be more "occlused" than we have now.

The only sounds I need to make lower are the ones for a plane crash and a splash. Both of these are so stupidly loud, it really is appalling. If anyone knows which sound sample belongs to these and how to lower them, I'll consider them my personal hero.
