Sinking ships - MR_G - 29.10.2008
I didn't find any discussion on a mod to create a static ship in a sinking state.
A static carrier that is listing and down at the stern would be a welcome addition. Since it is static, one could add all the fire and smoke that they wanted in the FMB.

When you're in FMB mode, you can use the roll, pitch, and yaw controls on ships; However, as soon as you exit FMB mode and play, any ships that are moved around like that are reset back to upright. (Hopefully that makes sense lol)
Is there any way we could 'unlock' those controls so they stick when in play mode? (Hopefully that also makes sense... :lol
Could be an alternative to making new static objects, if it's possible that is.

I think that the Ship Pack includes damaged and sinking/sunken ships as new objects.

Everything you are looking for is included in FC and Archie's outstanding
Ship Pack 2, which can be found here:

This is a beta mod, that requires careful installation., so read the installation instructions and make sure you back-up your game install.

Ooh, shiney.
Stupid question, but if you make a mission with those ships, and then someone without the pack plays it, will they run into any problems? (Missings objects, errors, etc.)
... Honest question.

First, no question is stupid. Not asking is often what is stupid. How else are we to learn?
Now, as to your question. Last weekend I ran a mission where I used the new tankers in ShipPack1. A few of the other flyers did not have SP1 and they did not see the ships. The mission ran fine otherwise.
I'm guessing here that is the only problem. However this may not be true of all mods. Obviously all players would need the same maps or the mission will not load for them. Also not having the same planes will cause problems.
I experienced the same situation with LAL_RONE's Mod Hanger Pack. Those without that add-on did not see some of the hangers I had placed but otherwise no problem running the mission.
I hope this helps answer your question. If I have left anything out hopefully a more experienced person will correct me.

Alright, thanks. That answers a question I've been wondering about for a while now.
