Installing just the Mods folder - Plantoid 1 - 05.11.2008

Hi all:

My buddy's computer is down and has been for a while now. Until it went haywire, he and I were keeping together on the mods so what one had, the other had as well. I've been downloading stuff from here, (and let me say it's the best damn thing since sliced cheese), and am currently about five or six dl's ahead of him.

Now, my question is - when he gets his rig back, can I just burn a copy of MY 'Mods" folder to disk and drop it into his machine? Maybe simpler to just take his 'Mods' folder out and replace it with mine?

Thanks in advance.

Great days all.

... that depends

if you guys are using same sound mod/mod activator/SFX/AAAUI version and have identical game version switched ( so your game root files and "Files" folder are identical) ... then yes, it will work

another way is to copy the whole game into the other PC just to insure that everything you have, he has it too

Marvellous guys, thanks.

Yes, until his computer went south, we both had identical versions, sound mod, and mod activator. Since then, I think I've only dl'ed hangar mods, fortification, vehicles stuff, and CanonUK's English Channel objects - not his map.

Great days all.
