External POV problems - oldschoolie - 11.11.2008

Here's a funny thing. Previously, if I went to an external view I had full control of pan and tilt with the mouse, and could view the aircraft I was looking at from any POV. Now, for some obscure reason the views are restricted, as though there are stops on the azimuth and elevation. Any ideas?
