[MOD] P40-B cockpit - bolox - 16.11.2008

nearly complete (is any project ever?) so releasing as a beta for your comments.



hires version- mostly 1024

extract to a convenient place and drop resulting 'boloxp40b****' folder into your mods folder and go fly.

most tga's are 1024 res so is probably not low end friendly :twisted: - 512 version now done

for g/f picture lovers i'm linking a psd file of the panel with a photo layer for you to play with- stick to the boundaries of the included photo and remember the alpha channel before saving as tga.

lighting on panel has been lowered in mat file so photo may appear dim. try increasing contrast :wink:



P-40C/TOMAHAWK MIRROR FIX

has been included in updated links- p-40C folder also includes a file '-heir' which if renamed as heir will correct a slight misalignment of artificial horizon- but loses mirrors :oops:

hopefully this is ready for submission in a few days if no problems occur

Isn't Alpha the early-early stage?

Anyways, fantastic work. The default cockpits always made me sad with their hard to read gauges.

Excellent work!.. this has needed a facelift!
Understand that this is a beta, but as it affects the Tomahawk mkIIb, will it give it back its mirror when it becomes final? because at the moment I can't get it to show up..

suggestion for final release : you may wish to strip down a little pinup template file .... just finished panel + pic layer , cos 37 Mb is huge file .

.... huh, i just tried it out in night conditions, i suppose this is intentional? But its no harm in asking, anyway :

mirrors- thanks for spotting that.
tracked it down to the hier file in the p-40c sub folder- i copied p-40b one to get slipball in right place but it seems to kill mirrors in p-40c and tomahawk 11b- will work on that tomorrow.

nightlighting- umm.. working at my end hock: - so that's got me stumped at moment. i did play around quite a bit with the nightlighting to get a 'soft glow' look- mainly in the mat files dropping alpha testval (amongst others).
anyone else experiencing this? if so please report including gpu and screen resolution used.

The nightlighting is absolutely fine with my install.. no probs with that, its just subtle enough to pick out the detail..
