I have suddenly lost all sound in game and for some reason the conf.ini keeps getting re-set to sounduse=0

I have made the conf.ini read only and it still happens.

My vanilla Il2 is fine, I have the UI with the new 190s (all 3 and the K14) and I have Canons BoB map, all of these were working fine for the past week, and I have changed NOTHING :? :? :?

I have tried search on these forums but it is a nightmare trying to find relevant threads. hock:

That doesn't sound good psyops. just to check, it is just Il2 where the sounds don't work? If so it might be worth checking the Il2setup.exe in the sounds tab make sure that hasn't gone wonky - isn't set to 'surround sound' or anything like that?

Thanks for the help, unfortunately it is Il2 sound only, I can hear my wingman ok on teamspeak and I have checked all the usual suspects

Problem is for some reason something keeps changing the conf.ini to "sounduse=0" when I start the game

Bump!!

This is driving me nuts, for some reason when I check the conf.ini the "sounduse=1" line keeps reverting to "sounduse=0"

I have tried makeing the file read only but it has no effect. I change it to "sounduse=1", save it, and launch the game and NO sound, when I then re-check the conf.ini it has returned to "sounduse=0"
