Editing "Properties" - Guest - 02.12.2008

I wonder if anyone could tell me the software required to edit and then save the "properties" files. I can view them in notebook but if I edit them, I cannot save them in the correct format. Is there any available extractor/editing software for this ?

many thanks

Wordpad. Works for me.

Notepad has worked fine for me all these years?

Right click any .mis or prop. file and choose Open. You should be asked what program to use. Choose Notepad. Check the box that says "always use to open this type of file." Do the same with the .properties files. Then anytime you wish to edit a mission or properties file it will open with Notepad by default.

then your propertie files or .mis files will change to be opened by notebook only.
Otherwise the prop. or mis. files get saved as a .txt file

I had the same problem, I edit the files but can't save it. You have to right clic on the folder and edit the security parameters. chose user and allow total control. now you should be able to save it. same thing for the skins when you want to extract to the folders

Also try the save as command and make sure the file is not a read only file. You can change this under attributes.
