Tracer Mod *UPDATE* -> v1.1 - JG2_Rainer_Zufall - 05.12.2008



TRACERMOD_RZL v 1.1

(I.) !!! Before installing these new mods delete my old "Tracermod_RZL" folder !!!

NOTICE: CHANGING TRACERS WILL CHANGE NAVLIGHTS, TOO!





(II.) Choose between 6 different versions (watch .jpg file ->pictures of ingame) :

Tracer 1, brighter cores
Tracer 2, smudgy tracers
Tracer 3, same as "Tracer 1" but 50% smaller
Tracer 4, same as "Tracer 2" but 200% brighter
Tracer 5, an other design
Tracer 6, same as "Tracer 4" but 300% better resolution ( 128x128 pix [Tracer 1,2,3,4,5 -> 32x23 pix] )





(III.) Open your choiced Tracer x.rar file, maybe "Tracer 6.rar" and extract it into your 'MODS' folder





(IV.) Open your choiced Landinglight x.rar file, maybe "Landinglight 2.rar" and extract it into your 'MODS
folder





(V.) Start game and enjoy!

Mine look very dim, and I tried all three versions.

Is there a way to bump up the brightness of them by about 100-200%?

vp's mod was nice and bright enough, but it swapped to red after some set point in space, can you put his brightness on yours? (his were yellow'ish white iirc) Or maybe his was a larger "blob" perhaps?

they where bright, but most of his tracers are only yellow-white so they are verry bright

I rather like the yellow'y white'ish of his, but I'd like the best of both of yours. (picky of me isnt it, haha)

I have degenerating eyesight and tracers have always been to dim for me to see worth a damn.

Ah well, maybe one day. Good mod though! =)

(would you mind if I played with the files to see what effects I can achieve?)

He asks if you mind him editing your mod files so that he can see if he can come up with a different, or better solution...

is it ok for you, when i make Tracer 1 brighter, or do you want Tracer 2 brighter Acog ?

Hey I have one thing to ask of these absolutely GREAT new tracers...

You think you could also redo the tracer textures for farther distances? Because after a certain distance... the tracers look like just straight colored lines.

Here is what I mean...

i know what you mean, i hate this textures of farther distances too, i dont know how to change them, i will talk with vpmedia, maybe he can help me
