54 Sqn Spitfire MkI pack - Kristorf - 13.12.2008

Not doing much skinning now but fancied some MkI Spitfires, so did these.

Spitfire MkI's flown by 54 Sqn RAF from RAF Hornchurch during May 1940.


KL-A (P9389) flown by Sqn Leader James Leathart, white underside with one black wing


KL-B (N3183) 'Kiwi' flown by Pilot Officer Alan Deere, Night/Day underside


KL-N (N3173) flown by Pilot Officer Colin Grey, Night/Day underside


KL-N, made to complete the pack, Night/Day underside

Also one A/C with national markings and one with just the tail flash.

One thing I have noticed with these early Spits from both profiles and descriptions is that the brown colouring seemed darker than the usual dark earth, so I have attempted to make it so.
