Java capable help needed for SmokeBlack_Wreckage columns - Fly! - 21.12.2008

In another attempt to resolve this pb. I am asking anyone who can understand code to take a look at this inorder to GET RID OF the thick black fingers-of-death that show up over crashed plane wreckage parts. These mushroom clouds are a FPS & immersion killer.

The file name is 4B598398AD1D180C from: MODS/Aircraft/4B598398AD1D180C

http://www.mediafire.com/?lmga24whwd1

It has references to engine and plane parts damage, .eff FX, cockpit state (yellow gunfire reflection?)
among others.

Fly, my brother is with me for a few days over Christmas, he's a java programmer- I've asked him about this, and he said he'll take a look, but needs to know what environment it is compiled/decompiled in?
What does heuse to open these files? I can't answer him, so.... :?:

Thanks BigBossMalone.

You open them w/ Wordpad. On my computer it's Start/All Programs/Accesories/Wordpad.

Then File/Open/browse to the folder/under Files of type: tab at the bottom choose All documents--the one at the bottom of the list, then click on the file.

Basically, I was looking at a way to disassociate the smoking wrecked parts of a plane when it crashes from the damage smokes when it is still flying. In other words the wrecked parts would stop smoking.

I have been learning to program Java basically for a year now and after opening this file, they are not in java format.

I will need for you to give us further instruction on how to extract the information inside these files, in order, to allow us to see the java codes. The codes I see is not in java, instead its in many messy few characters per lines.

:?

Chaoic out...

OK I don't know what it is--(I thought it was Java) or how to extract it. It's going to take someone familiar w/ advanced computer code knowhow to do it. Those who really know the format will know how to do it. Mr. Jolly?
