Adding ships in the "quick mission" builder - Flyboy36 - 25.12.2008

Does anyone know if there is currently a way to add ships into "quick missions" :?:

Great sugestion! but i dont think is possible.

Why not? The Crimea Map already has moving ships in it that battle each other when they get closer. The Coral Sea map has moving Carriers and Battleships... It can be done, I just don't know how.

I have two "Strike" missions I made for the Ju-88A-4_Torp & Fw-190A-5U14 in QMBplus, amongst my favorites. What makes you think it can't be done?

In one of the pacific theatre maps, I think it was Coral sea, the map with no land is it, yyou must choose airfield as target, then you can attack a enemy naval sqad with some orone, I don't know at the moment , carriers.

There are so many talented people in the modding community that it's hard to say what limits there truly are in some of these games.....lol

Although it would be nice to see ships included in the "quick mission builder" (since I personally have a bit of a hard time using the full mission builder) being that I desperately need practice with dive bombing on naval targets and supply convoys........if it turns out that ships are not possible in the "quick mission builder" than I will just have to use a utility like Mission-Mate Smile

All you need to do is include ships in the QMB mission when you make it, and then they're in the mission.

It's no different to attacking armour. When you pick 'Armour' as the mission type all you're doing is loading a mission where armour has been placed.

That's odd ... there's a Slot map "RedStrike" mission for QMBPlus out there where the Reds have to attack an axis convoy defended by ground based AA and a couple destroyers. Works well as a mission to fly B-25 G's with the big nose gun. Smile Takes a while to sink a ship with the 75mm cannon, but it can be done.

The point is that ships can be added with ease, and made to be the target if required.

Only sticking point may be aircraft carriers, but I haven't tried adding those to a QMBPlus mission yet.
