AAA Site Down Time explanation - Guest - 30.12.2008

So every is clear about what happened yesterday 29th dec 08 ...

Hostdime Hosts our site here & they had some serious problems regarding DNS name servers this meant that you were unable to access the site with the normal address

Everything is now back to normal & there has been no data loss anywhere.

Yep, I was wondering what had happened...but you got my hopes up as I thought it was the unified-installer 1.1 Cry

Doesn't matter, I can wait-it's good that there was no data loss Big Grin

And thanks for keeping us informed, that's what I like about this forum

I had no problem at all accessing the site, and I checked a couple of times yesterday.

Was this limited to a geographical area or was it just a bit lucky that I had access?

Must be just luck Viper.I had no access in the UK,somene on the ubi forum had no access from Denmark, except by direct ip.

Mr. Jolly, There is an (very) active thread over at SimHQ and many people are still unable to connect. I doubt if there is anything that you can do about it but I thought you might like to know...

Please advise the good folks over at SimHQ that there is a trickle down period whilst various other DNS's update their cache etc. Myself for example have only just been able (in the last hour) to log in using the conventional method. They may still need to replace the http://allaircraftsimulations.com with the IP I provided (see M4T's AAA missing thread), until such time their DNS's update.
