Friend Needs Help Accessing This Site - Boris The Spider - 01.01.2009

Disclaimer: I know this is probably in the wrong forum but I couldn't find an appropriate one. Feel free to move it to where it belongs if that is the case.

I have PM'ed Mr. Jolly about this several days ago but he hasn't opened it up yet. I'm sure he gets flooded with PM's and emails constantly so I understand.

I have decided to post in an open forum in hopes that one of the Admins or Moderators sees this and can be of help in getting one of my squadmates access the site. His name here is Zeus-cat and he is registered here at AAA but tells me he cannot log in. Here is what he sent me in an e-mail:

I have been locked out for months and it says I need to contact an admin to get back in. However, there is no admin contact info on the site that I can find. Of course, that doesn't mean that it isn't there; I just can't find it.

My request is that someone contact him and help him get back on the site or, tell me what he needs to do and I will convey that information to him.

He can now freely access the site, at will. He should remember his password, if not PM me and I will reset it to something for him.

My mates have had login and mod install problems as well - scoggy7 - 02.01.2009

I have encountered the same problems trying to get my fellow group members either logged in or the unified mod installed correctly. I had no problems getting mine going but I have noticed that those who don't have mod or map making backgrounds always have some type of trouble.

A few just could not get the J30ll... code to work properly. I don't know if this is because the l's look like I's and the O's look like 0's to some or not.

Others have had trouble installing the mod. I have stepped some of these guys through the process and have had some sucess, but there are at least 3 other members who have given up on me because of the frustration of getting it all to work. I'm not complaining-I love the site and the mods and know that the bugs take awhile to get worked out, I'm just frustrated that I have lost many of my flying mates since I have started using the mods. I really know they would enjoy these mods if they would get them to work.

I did receive an email from Mr. Jolly regarding getting them logged in but I just don't know which log in names they originally used to attempt registration. Unfortunately, I have not seen many of them since the holidays so i have not been able to persuade them to try again. I will make another attempt.

If you PM me their usernames on the board, I will check and activate their accounts. But if they cannot get past the authorization code, tell them to simply copy and paste it, making sure not to get a space before or after the code.
