My Battle of Britain movies in HD on Youtube. - checkmysix - 05.01.2009

Hi Guys.
Here are my first IL2 1946 movies.
I am pleased with the way the have turned out and would appreciate your feedback.
Select WATCH IN HD prompt for best viewing.
Please watch in order shown below as they are parts 1 and 2 of same battle.
When viewing in HD the vids take a little longer to load but the viewing experience is a million times better than normal youtube quality so PLEASE be patient and you will see what I mean.
Dial-up speed and background Appliacations may effect loading speed.

Not bad. Looks really nice except the Spitfire MK IX didn't see service in the BoB.
Might want to re-do it with the Mk I or even a very early Mk V.

Re:Wrong Spitfire - checkmysix - 05.01.2009

Hi redleg
Thanks buddy, your right of course about the wrong Spitfire in Part 1 but in Part 2 I have used MODS and the correct Mk-I Spitfire is in use.
Part 1 was my first attempt before I knew about AAA and had no MODS,but I may re- do in the future.
Thanks again.

Iam fredgreen ( on youtube FRGR8)

Great to watch your movies in HD, good music & camera positions........real sharp!!!!

remember this vid:

I didn't use Cameraship MOD but PAT smoke mod.
My movie hasn't got that sharpness, because it was resized from low- to high resolution.

The mod that I used (static-camera under my wing) is
PAT smoke mod by zephyr( the effect camera static under wing)
http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10638
But if you use the "PAT smoke mod" in your replays in il2, be sure that this mod was also active when the replay was made......

also see my post on AAA:

checkmysix great work

greetings fredgreen
fredgreen is a little bit jealous of your high quality movie

And of course I remember your Il2 1946 guncam flying tiger Video

Thanks for the tip about PAT smoke Mod I will defineatly use in the future.

Hey .... what is this new HD thing at Youtube???

I've had an account there for ages but no mention about how to use the HD feature.
is this for US only or what.
How do you upload an HD video.... I've been using Vimeo because the Youtube 10 minute limit sucks

Hi fabianfred
Not only U.S I am in U.K but should work anywhere hopefully
Follow these steps and fingers crossed it should work.
1.PUBLISH MOVIE
2.PUBLISH TO "VIDEOS" FOLDER
3.CHOOSE"MORE SETTINGS"OPTION
4.SELECT"Windowsmedia HD.720p(PALS)5.9 mbps"
5.PUBLISH.

Download DrDIVX (free) Open folder and in Input box add movie file,QUALITY to "Extreme Quality".
Next go to Advanced page and press Pre-Prossesing>Image Processing>Progressive output(ON)>RESOLUTION>slide to MAX>AUDIO>Bitrate=128kbps>ENCODE>Press Resume.

NOTE:SYSTEM CONFIG AND O.S MAY EFFECT RESULTS .I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA HOME (32)
This worked for me
Good luck
Keith..
