Turbulence/Sound Mod Suggestion - helagu - 09.01.2009

How about enhancing the visual juddering that you get when flying at low level in turbulence with some kind of sound effect?

My (limited) experience of flying through turbulence IRL is that it is accompanied by 'bump', 'creak', or 'rattle' sounds (well, you try describing it!) and perhaps a modulation of the engine sound. I find the silent visual shaking that we currently have to be kind of spooky.

In the past I've used Force Feedback and, frankly, found the noise side-effect of the force feedback to add more to the immersion than the physical motions. To add a designed sound effect would be very spiffy. 'Course, I've no idea if this is practical.

And, when you've done that, how about a 'thunk' when the gear comes up. And then can I have...

(Sorry if this has been suggested before. Did a search and didn't find anything).

Cheers,
H.
