Load issue with mods - Bolt - 10.01.2009
Hello , Im sure this has been addressed before , but I am having a issue with the game loading correctly , when I click on game ..it will load up , but my taskbar will remain on the bottom also , preventing me from going straight into the game , I have to Ctrl -Alt-Del and then select the IL2 tab on the taskbar in order for me to play , surely theres a simple fix to this annoyance . I appreciate any help . this happens with both 4.08 & 4.09 mods.

this isn't related to mods, it happens if something is running in the background, or you click something after starting Il2, but before it comes up.
just minimize it and open it again, and it should be fine. The windows key works fine, but only after the game has started.

This happens to me as well and has done so for quite a while. I have found that it mainly happens the first time I fire up the the game and after that it loads ok until the next time the computer is rebooted.
Dunno what the problem is but it's not me clicking on other stuff after I click on IL2 and before it loads and I don't reckon I've got other stuff running in the background either.

I think it happens to most of us and yes it is annoying but what the hell
I respectfully disagree however with you F4u, I've noticed that if I go thru the A-C-D minimize and get back to the selections screen and play a game my system doesn't like it and I get more anomalies ingame. What I do now is, and not always do I get the failure to launch on boot up, but if I do, I do the dance and then shut down the game and after it clears for a moment or two I reboot the game and all is well. I know that this sounds like a lot to go thru but it's worth it to have the game run smooth and for me it doesn't unless I close it out, reload and do not get the taskbar upon boot. Maybe that part is my system but some of the anomalies are (can be one or all) stutter, stops, sound and graphic anomalies...

Exactly , Ive fired up Il2 with no mods and she loads up fine ..with mod the game goes straight to taskbar and I have to do the dance to get back into the game and then it runs crappy .
