Mod Request - Change the way Aircraft line up on runway - Alan - 12.01.2009

Hey fellas

When one starts an offline mission all aircraft are always parked one after the other. This really sucks as I can never tell when it is safe for me to take off. After some tricky maneuvering I can normally see 45deg out my cockpit when the guy in front of me has departed.

It would be nice if there was a mod available that parked the planes in a staggered position one after the other instead of directly behind one another e.g. (dashes - used for spacing only)

install the 6DOF mod and you can peer around the dash and see what is in front :wink:

Or even better. How about the ability to taxi, especially for the AI planes. Would be cool to have more aircraft action happening around the air field. Perhaps an incoming landing flight requires you to remain on hold until clearance? More robust ATC ops moddable?

there was a thread where people were discussing modding aircraft to be used as vehicles. Then you could just add them to your airfield the same way you would add moving trucks.

I think it may have been abndoned because the aircraft would move but there ws no way to get the props to turn
