I hear Tempest's or FW D9's engine instead of mine - HF_Kami - 13.01.2009
Hi
Can any one help me with this?
Every time, there is a Tempest or D9 in the air, I can non-stop hear its engine (can barely hear other sounds including my engine :? ) no matter how far the plane is. This happens with AAA mods on. Switching the game to no mods eliminates the problem. Is it possible to turn olny the soundmod off?
The problem also disappears when I disable extensions, however other sound problems appear.
I appreciate all your answers

+ 1 ... for the same issue here as well. I did somewhat fix the issue by adjusting the relevant "SPL" setting in the .prs file but that didn't seem to cure the issue. And after a re-boot the sounds for the Jumo engined aircraft in particular are just as loud as ever.
I'm tempted to just copy in the basic UI 1.0 files for samples and prs files, but I need to look closely at the various new mods I have to ensure I don't break one (the Fw-190 D11/D143 new aircraft comes to mind specifically).
It's been said (elsewhere, if not here) that modding can create as many problems as it creates new possibilities. That is true, and must be considered before venturing into mod territory.
