I think I have messed up my ini files - sentinel - 15.01.2009

Dear All,
Whilst trying different .ini files in the STD folder I have got in a bit of a mess regarding which were, or are the correct files. I was using the new winmerge program and I think I have lost vital bits of the ini files such that some of my mods do not work properly. So is there anywhere I can go to get some ready-made ini files to start again with and add to with the ini's that come with the mod downloads that I have?
regards,
Sentinel.

Not that I actually know the right answer here but I would save your important files files such as the User folder, any missions You created, and your Paint Schemes, then reinstall the Unified Installer, you might want to make a list of mods you have in your mod folder and then if your game runs after the re-install you can tell which of those mods that are not in there, barring that save all the info from above and totally re-install the game and use the new version of the UI when it comes out which will make you compatible with everybody else and have all the good working mods. If anyone here knows a better way please respond as this is my best guess. One other thing is get a copy of someone else's and put that in and see if it works, but you'll still be better off when UI 1.1 is released

Here is a link to the stock 4.09 static.ini

(The link is inoperative)

Dear Easy,
Well, yes I get the point about the static.ini but in this case I was trying to incorperate the Ship pack2 so there is a ship.ini a stationary.ini, a technics.ini and a chief.ini.
What you are saying I think is that the basic game has default ones of these and if I just add the ones that come with the download and not the ones in the Add To folder then I should be OK.
Therefore there will be those 4 files and the static.ini in the STD folder.....Yes??
