Plane Shattering - ZomBo 1946 - 20.01.2009

Hello. is there anyway to, make the planes, NOT, shatter when they crash the ground without making planes invincible. Thank you, awesome mod btw. Big Grin

I think the effort has to be on you to land the plane smoother. Unless we are missing the point. Because when the game makes you explode. If you really hit the ground that hard your plane would be rendered useless.

I think he's talking about crashing, not landing. He wants to know if the planes could remain a little more intact after crashing.
Is that right ZomBo?

Sadly, a great many WW2 pilots would have liked the same thing. It all depends on how hard you thump down. Touch down gently enough and all you do is slide to a stop.

He has a point though, aircraft plowing into the ground at 350mph didn't necessarily break into 1000 pieces and then bounce about the landscape over a huge area a la total annihilation's physics engine. It seems a little OTT sometimes.

Yeah, crashing not landing.

You hit the nail on the head right there.

Under "Options" tick "Realistic landings" to OFF.

Okay that makes it worse, the planes DONT crash they keep on going, if the engine is still on, thanks anyway though
