How can we have differential engine control? -
walter_solito - 23.01.2009
Hi!
Some time ago I had bought a Saitek Proflight Joke System and a Saitek Throttle Quadrant that can be join to the previous; now is possible to control two engine separately but.....IL2 not allow the separate engine controls , we can select and set only an engine at time , so now I think:
CAN BE MADE A MOD THAT ENABLE IL2 TO HAVE DOUBLE ENGINE CONTROL SETTINGS?
So we can menage twin engined A/C by two and separate throttle-pitch-mixture.
I'm a profane in modding but I have read that something of similar was asked for differential wheels brake so I add this request.
Maybe usefull or maybe useless?

Please see this thread - it is long, but at the end you'll find a link to download the appropriate program. Gary is offering it for free now, but with no support.

Thanx!!
Do you have it?
I have read the tread and downloaded the program but it have two problem:
1- It don't allow mixture controls on sliding controls;
2- It don't support Saitek Throttle Quadrant only the AV8 joystick
What I ask for a mod is a kind like this but inside IL2 files that allow multiengine controls in HOTAS setion!
I'll try it as possible but I'm pessimist about!

I thought it provided support beyond just the aviator? I use an aviator plus a throttle quadrant giving 5 axis of control (6 if you count the mouse wheel). Mix is not one of them though, your right. Beyond that, I think you would need a mod. Give it a go though, as i think its the only bit of kit I've heard of for separate engine control on offer for the near future. --viking
