FMB - Wrong Original Map Display Size - Golden_Eagle_FM - 28.01.2009
After having added some various mods I got a weird effect.
I am with 4.09.
When I open the FMB with the Slot map I have no problem. I get the map displayed as usual.
If I open the original Guadalcanal (Early) map then I do not get anymore the full map but it is enlarged to a size identical to the original Guadalcanal map.
The Guadalcanal (Early ) map has a much wider size with a lot of sea portion.
When I open missions I built with this map, I can play the mission without any problem but on the FMB I cannot work anymore on the ships, planes whatever that were on that part of the map who cannot be accessed as it is out of the window.
What can cause that.
Thanks for the help

You must have Vp's default map upgrade. If that is the case, I believe he ommitted the extra area on that map inadvertently.
Go to your mods/mapmods/guadal folder and locate the eload.ini file.
Open it in notepad and check if the following lines are there:
[MAP2D_BIG]
OutsideMapCell = 28
tile tile.mat
sizeX 500000
sizeY 500000
ofsX 339000
ofsY 380000
It should be entered between the ed_map_T and WorldPos entries in the .ini file.

Thanks for the advice.
Unfortunately I tried and it does not work.
I checked that I did insert it as you mentioned.
The result is a big blue map. Sea only. No more the Guadalcanal island.
Thanks for any other solution.

Skunkmeister thanks.
Finally I made it work py copying and pasting the block from another map .ini file were this data block was available, and then changed the values.
It seems that some typo was there or introduced inadvertently but could not find it.
To be ideal the ofsY value shoud be 375000
