Unified Installer FAQ's - Griffon - 04.02.2009

Sorry, i know this is kinda off topic, but I thought it might be best to start up an FAQ, with a question I have;

Does one have to uninstall/delete all current mods (e.g mod switcher/english/sound mods) to their IL-2 before installing the UI mod pack?

Corrupt files when installing mods - Fodder - 09.02.2009

Just a bit of help please.

I've downloaded the 8 seperate mods and after following the instructions on copying the game folder and deleting files and mods folders, installed the rar files using the community package. However, at the end of installation I am told that some of the files are corrupt and I should download fresh files. I have done this twice (from a seperate mirror also) and I am still getting the same error message.

Am I missing something completely in the install process or is it something else causing this problem?

Any ideas?

Thanks...

Hello,

Downloaded all the files, thanks for the extra mirrors!

Since adding any new mods to the installation is not recommended, at least for now, will downloading custom skins cause any problems with the crt=2 thing?

Thanks again,
Sillius_Sodus

Hi Fodder, I had the same issue with UI 1.0 and 1.1 and posted what I did to fix it here: http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12254

If it doesn't help with his problem, it should help you anyway.
