Collision_height ? - Metus81 - 05.02.2009
Thank you for the new UI and all the other mods, making this game so great.
I have a question about the folder "Collision_height" included with 1.1.
Sorry if answered elsewhere, but what does it do? :?
Many thanks

I think it has something to do with the rate that u hit the object: also think it is were u hit the model causing the DM (damage model). Just to put it in a simpiler form i think it has something to do with hitting the ojects, but i really don't know----

Wouldn't that be a DamageModel mod and not allowed by AAA rules?
It's only one very small file, but would be good to know nevertheless..

No modder ace here who knows, or can guess it by looking at the file?
Please, I don't want the thread become longer than necessary

but it's good to see that I am not the only person with no clue...

Just a guess but might it refer to the "bubble" around your A/C that the computer would see as a collision. Other than that I dont know either 8)

Whatever it is, you can open it with notepad.
Google leads to a lot of physics stuff about how and where two objects meet.
Speculation only here....some kind of check for online play?
Like, the server has this Collision file and when I try to join, the server checks my Collision Height file to see if it matches?
If it does not match, I cannot join the server?
Please note, all are questions.

I think the moderators are messing with us. They want us to find out ourselves. XD My only guess as to why we still don't have a reply.

My guess is that it actually does nothing, but creates rumors, speculation and an ongoing thread that will last for at least 3 pages.
