Multiple install help - Younggun - 07.02.2009

I have read in here where peps have multiple installs of the game on there computer. I currently have UI 1.0 on mine and would like to install the UI 1.1 on my computer also to give it a test run on my rig. I have searched for the answer in here and cannot find  I tried to rename my current install to install a fresh version for the UI 1.1, but when I go to install it only gives me the option to uninstall not install?? I thought if you changed the name of current install you could add another install of the game. Could someone please help me or tell me what I am doing wrong? I know it can be done but for the life of me I cannot get a secound install to install.

Thank you whoever it is for any help.

I simply put a minus sign in front of the name of file folder and my mod folder.
so they were named like so -files and -Mods.

This is the way to not only disable Mods in you mod folder ,but to disable any folder in the game IL2

I then run the UI 1.1 and let it install. All works fine and I can play 1.0 or 1.1 by renaming my two folder sets now.

This way you are only needing a couple extra folders to have both versions instead of Gig upon Gig
of a whole new game on your hardrive.Just the new Mod folder is just under 5 Gig the files folder is so small it`s irrelevant.

It all works fine for me with out the need for two complete installs of the game.

Easy
