Would it be possible to:

A: Make a mod allowing you to select what formation a flight will be in at the start of a mission with FMB.

B: Make a mod to the friendly commands that would cause all flights in the squadron to join into one big formation. For instance when you send the "regroup" order to the whole squadron or something.

this can be done

without mods

however the second one requires them to start out in formation

Sorry to hijack thread, but is there any way of having the formation of a squadron change when you are NOT the leader i.e. having a mission file set up so the AI flight leader orders a formation change to, say, line abreast upon reaching a certain waypoint (I know that AI dive bombers will automatically change to line astern before beginning their bomb run.

that last bit unfortunently can't be done without a mod, however, you can in FMB set one flight's target to be another flight, causing them to fly in formation (if they are both bombers) fly escort over the bombers while flying S curves (fighters asigned to bombers) or fly as a top cover (fighter assigned to fighter)

I must add that in most of my missions I do the latter simply by manually adjusting speeds and such to give the effect.
